Have been a journalist for over 40 years.  Stopped being a full-time journalist since December 31, 1998.  Was with the Indian Express Group for12 years.  During those years was (often concurrently) the COO of the information company of the Indian Express Group, editor of Express InvestmentWeek and executive editor, Financial Express. Gave up full time journalism from 1999.

Was with the corporate sector thereafter, first as the managing director of a listed company and then with a company I founded.

Thereafter, was consulting editor with several publications including Moneycontrol.com, firstpost.com, Forbes India, DNA, DVV Media, and Free Press Journal.

Was Advisor, Observer Research Foundation for two years.

Have been a teacher and educationist for almost 50 years (often concurrently with my work as a journalist).

Currently teach at educational and research institutes India and overseas. Part time faculty at XIC, Mumbai.

Am on the board of studies with JaiHind College, Wilson College and SIES College in Mumbai

Was a full time teacher from 1975 to 1982.
