Hemlata Kumari learned skills to flourish her children’s life.

Mrs. Hemlata Kumari is an educated lady who studied till 12th standard but could not accomplish her dream of becoming a government servant due to her early marriage.

It was in the mid-year 2017 that Adani Skill Development centre opened a Tailoring training program at her village where she immediately enrolled and polished her tailoring skills. “Meera madam taught me cutting and stitching skills in the centre. I used to travel 8 km away from home to learn tailoring but now I am able to access the centre at my own village”, said Hemlata Kumari.

Hemlata Kumari started earning from Skills Development centre run by ASDC in the village. As she becomes a regular member at Phulojano Sakhsam Mahila Mandal.

When asked about her successful life, She quotes, “I always wanted to pursue my higher studies but fate does not make as per my wish. What I can do now is to educate my children and help them achieve their dreams. I have learned so much from this centre and I am thankful to Adani for shaping my life in this way. I am able to generate income sitting at home, and stitching clothes of others. This has been possible just because of ASDC”.
