Sapna Vijay Rakhde made a lot of sacrifices while growing up.

Sapna Rakhde lives in Mohgaon with her parents and with her 4 sisters. Sapna is 21 years old and now an employee of Portea home care services (Healthvista India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai). She is confidently handling the patients. Earlier, her father was the sole earner of her family. she had to make a lot of sacrifices while growing up. During her childhood, she was passionate about becoming a doctor and tried very hard to study well and score good marks. Unfortunately, she got less mark in 10th std. and her aspirations to study further in medical science were shattered.

Sapna got this lucky chance during the mobilization activities of the ASDC team in Tiroda. After gathering the details of General duty assistance course and training, she enrolled for the course without giving a second thought. She studied regularly and completed the course in three months. She also did On Job Training at sub-district hospital Tiroda. She was so good at her work that she immediately got a job offer upon clearing the exam. Her trainer Miss Swati said that she was very regular in class and passed the examination with flying colors. She was much excited on the first placement.

Sapna head is satisfied with her job. She has also become quite attached to ASDC. She faced lots of challenges and obstacles before joining ASDC in Tiroda, but her struggle does not end here, out of five sisters she is the only with the job. She wanted to earn more money and satisfy the basic needs of her family. Today she is earning Rs 9000/- per month and has become a responsible daughter of the family.
