Reena is working at G.K General Hospital at OPD under the guidance of a dietician.

Reena Amal – A widow of her GDA batch from ASDC Bhuj is an epitome of courage and confidence. She is 29 years old with two kids one 8-year-old and other 5 years, both are boys. She now lives in Bhuj, prior to this she was from Jura village. She is 12th pass and is pursuing B.A and wants to do further studies. She lost her husband at a very young age of 24 in the year 2015. Her second child was only 7 months old when the tragedy of her husband’s sudden death hit, which was due to a heart attack.

Happiness is transient; she faced many problems started with losing her husband, becoming a single parent and to work as Asha worker at Bhuj health care. She moved to her parents’ home when she did not get support from her in-laws.

Presently, Reena is working at G.K General Hospital at OPD under the guidance of a dietician. She is learning how to prepare a diet chart for all kind of patients and is happy that she knows how to give CPR. A young novice is all set to become a successful patient care assistant with a single goal in life i.e ‘To become economically stable enough to educate her children’.

Reena expresses huge gratitude to ASDC Bhuj for giving her the opportunity to study GDA and help her to get the job so that she no longer must depend on anyone’s help for herself and the child’s future.
