Savitriben was guided on the entire process of getting herself registered on ‘UdhyogAdhaar’.

If God takes something away from you, it means he is emptying your hands to give you something better! This is exactly what has happened in Savitriben Rathod’s life. She was diagnosed with polio at the age of two, but it didn’t stop her from chasing her dreams. She attended Retail Sales Associate training at Adani Skill Development Centre which includes major section of Entrepreneur Development Program which would help her to get a loan and set up a business in tailoring.

Her zest for becoming a successful entrepreneur was so strong that her husband encouraged her against the wishes of his family. With the help of continuous follow-ups from ASDC, Savitriben resumed learning after a gap of six months. She was guided on the entire process of getting herself registered on ‘UdhyogAdhaar’ to obtain a loan from the bank. Her husband found a shop on rent for her startup.

From being a physically –challenged woman who used to do tailoring for establishing her identity, Savitriben has come a long way. She is now running her own tailoring shop and teaching skills to six trainees. She contributes a revenue of Rs. 20,000-25,000 per month to the family income. Her proud husband says, “My respect for Savitri has increased ever since our marriage. Now that I see her teaching and empowering other women, I will always support and protect her no matter the situation.” Savitri is thankful to ASDC for providing her with the right guidance and learning. The ASDC team wishes her the best for her future endeavours.
