Suma was interested in using the Internet but found it quite difficult to understand.

Flowing with the flow never seemed tough for Suma J, until the arrival of the Smartphone! The rapid pace with which technology is advancing can make it hard to remain updated. But, Suma felt that instead of shunning technology she needs to embrace it. A passionate homemaker, she runs the house on the meager income earned by her husband who is a choir worker. Until now, her only access to technology had been the smartphone. She was interested in using the Internet but found it quite difficult to understand.

So, she enrolled herself in the Digital Literacy Programme of Adani Skill Development Centre which includes basic training in using a computer. After attending the orientation programme, she realized the benefits of the course. She has been an attentive learner throughout the course. Not being, well-versed in English, she found it difficult to read and type technical words on the computer. But, she managed to overcome this difficulty with sheer determination. Now, she no longer travels 15 km to pay electricity bills. She simply does online payments and banking transactions. She can confidently navigate Social Media applications and helps her daughter with school assignments using the Internet. She feels that the Digital Literacy Programme of ASDC is a boon for people like her and want others to become tech-savvy so they can contribute to a Digital India.
