Samir is now able to support his family financially and emotionally.

Samir belongs to one of the most interior villages of Bhandara district of Maharashtra. Samir’s father, a security guard, has a monthly income of Rs. 6,000/-. Samir has 6 family members and his father is the sole earning member of his family. Though Samir has completed his 12th grade, he could not study any further owing to his extremely poor financial condition.

Samir knew that he had to take up a job to support his family, however, owing to lack of experience and advanced qualifications, could only manage to find the job of a cleaner at a local petrol station with a minimum income of Rs. 3000/- per month.

“I heard about the program being offered by Adani Skill Development Centre, Tiroda through a pamphlet that was distributed at a petrol station I used to work at,” says Samir. He was enrolled in the Electrician trade based on the interest inventory test that is undertaken at the start of the training program to map the student’s personalities for various courses offered under the program. On the successful completion of the training, Samir was placed at Supreme Treon Pvt. Ltd, Pune on a monthly salary of Rs. 9500/-. Samir is now able to support his family financially and emotionally.
