For Nasir Ali ,ASDC proved to be a window of opportunity.

Having dropped out from school on completing his 12th grade, Nasir soon found himself looking for job opportunities and performing odd tasks to financially contribute and support his family. His search led him to a mobilization camp set up by ASDC, Tiroda, where he got the chance to enrolled and train under the skill development programme.

ASDC, Tiroda proved to be a window of opportunity for Nasir and several similar aspirants. Nasir says, “He was thrilled to be at the training programme which was an amalgam of education leading to employment.” Nasir began to learn in the trade welding technician which further allowed him to pursue a formal education in industries in the future.

Naturally sociable and friendly, Nasir was determined to find his feet in the new place. “Admittedly, I was nervous but also equally excited as I always hoped to learn English and be apt at IT skills” he explains. His learning skill comes with a good result as he got placed in Ohsung Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. Rajangaon, Pune with a monthly salary of Rs. 10,000.
